Why does Mrs. Houser do whole body movements along with the poem when teaching Kinders how to write their numbers? She knows that moving using their whole body using big, gross-motor movements can help your child's brain learn new information and skills – in fact, recent scientific studies have shown that many children improve at mathematics when their entire body is engaged in movement while they are being taught. ⠀
