James Daugherty's Andy and the Lion

Andy and the Lion is about a curious boy named Andy who can’t stop thinking about lions. He reads about them, hears stories of lions in Africa, and dreams all night long about these ferocious creatures. To his surprise, he meets a real lion in need of help and befriends him. Andy’s lion adventures continue when a circus comes to town. This book celebrates both friendship and gratitude. Some of the activities in this unit are making lion toast, building a small-scale circus, and making a friendship poster.
